There was a fair bit carried over, and I think many, along with me, would have forgotten lots of the details. I wish there hadn't been such a big gap between the first episode, and this one. It's another bleak storyline, in the same area as the opener. I'm reminded somewhat of Wire in The Blood, slightly similar tone, and darker than your average crime series. I found this easier to watch than the first episode, maybe that was the macabre story of the opener, or perhaps the characters are now well established. Fast paced, action packed, enough to keep you entertained throughout, super climax. A very good story, very well acted, superbly produced, suitably macabre, this was a welcome return for DI Grace. I look forward to reading the second in this series - LOOKING GOOD DEAD - and I'm quite sure it will be a long running series.Another case of murder for DI Grace, as he tries to track down a killer, who's victims seem attached to the s & m scene. It is a very impressive crime thriller series debut. The author spent some time researching with the Sussex Police and with the Brighton and Hove mortuary team and this knowledge comes across very effectively. The book's plot twists and turns, it is often far fetched but always gripping, and keeps you involved right to the end.
